In 2019, a group of twelve (12) academics and industry professionals came together to organize the International Conference on Humanities, Innovations, and Management (ICHIM) in two Southern African locations: Mauritius and Cape Town. Our shared conviction was that research and practical experiences serve as vital catalysts for developing innovative ideas and concepts that challenge traditional practices and theories. This belief inspired the creation of the Sash Business Management Institute (SashBMI), under the umbrella of Sash Business Management in South Africa. (Visit: Sash Business Management)

SashBMI was established to facilitate knowledge transfer by fostering research collaboration, inspiring informed decision-making in the corporate sector, and promoting quality decisions for policymakers through academic conferences. Unfortunately, the ICHIM events scheduled for June 19–19, 2020 (Mauritius) and November 23–25, 2020 (Cape Town) were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the pandemic scattering many of our academic partners across Europe, the USA, and various African countries, the cohort remained united. As a result, SashBM LLC is registered in Minnesota, USA since January 2023 and is currently in good standing.

At SashBMI, we are committed to setting new standards for global research culture and professional practices in industry. We design our conferences to foster international collaboration and ensure that research bridges the gap between academia and industry. By providing researchers with platforms to showcase their work, we aim to contribute to the creation of a meaningful and impactful future for both industry and society.
